Any Number (February 22nd - March 1st )

This week I got my royalty check for last quarter.

Despite the music I wrote reaching tens of thousands of people, the check might cover a cup of coffee. It would be so easy for me to dismiss it, to get discouraged, but I’m not. Instead, I smiled and pinned it on my wall.

It’s proof of concept: I can create art, share it, and be compensated for it.

Sure, numbers don’t lie. I have to improve at the craft. I have to find better ways to share and promote it. But when those measly couple dollars come in, what I say to myself is:

If it can be that number, it could be any number.

Music (playing): 4h15m

Music (admin): 8h (spiked because I’m in planning phase)

Let’s see what all this brings, a month, a quarter, a decade down the line.
