Week #23: Grace, again

A few years ago when I was done working with a therapist, perhaps the biggest takeaway for me was that I had never built a relationship with myself.
I didn’t know such a thing existed.
After a few recent incidents I had to remind myself how to do so: give myself grace when I come up short.
I decided to not punish myself over the things that have given me anxiety lately:
Incurring a late fee on a credit card
A parking ticket for expired plates
Not budgeting in months
Not being present
Being shown my blind spots
New rule: because I know my heart, my intentions, and my work ethic, I get a free pass. Every time. Not to make the same mistake again, but to learn and move on.
Someone recently told me that grace is endless opportunities to start again. Every day that I wake up is grace.
Here’s my week (with the caveat that I am traveling abroad for a friend and my schedule is out of rhythm.):
Writing: 6 hr
Music: 2hr
